The one-liner

Morning Manna is a Bible alarm clock. When it goes off, a chapter of the Bible is already being read to you, before you've touched your phone. One chapter a day, picked for you.

In a hundred words

Most alarm apps wake you into your phone. The Morning Manna app wakes you into the Bible. Set a time, and at that time the day's chapter starts reading out loud: whole, narrated, never in a hurry. Listen, snooze, or let it play. You don't have to do anything. It is one chapter a day, not the whole Bible, so you have room to sit with it. Chapters download ahead of time, so the alarm works with no connection and is never silent. Every morning is kept as a quiet record, not a scoreboard. Churches, families and small groups wake to the same chapter together, with a short word from their leader. No feed, no ads, no notifications begging you back, and a free plan that needs no card and never ends. Android first.

The story, in the founder's words

“I wanted one thing: to hear the Bible before I heard anything else in the morning. Every app made me open it first, and by then I'd already lost the morning to my phone. So I built an alarm clock that reads a chapter of the Bible to you when it goes off. It's small on purpose. One chapter a day, so you can really sit with it. The alarm is the product; the chapter is what it carries.”

Things we'd rather you didn't say

That it's a “devotional app” (it's an alarm clock); that it's affiliated with any church, denomination or the other products called Morning Manna (it isn't); that it paraphrases or adapts Scripture (it doesn’t — every chapter is the Berean Standard Bible, read word for word).
